Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test Launches Next Week, PS Plus Members Get Early Access

Capcom has confirmed that the open beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds will take place next week. The beta will run from October 31 to November 3, 2024, and will be available on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series S/X. PlayStation Plus members will get early access starting October 28.

Open Beta Test Details

The open beta will feature a portion of the upcoming action-RPG, including:

  • Character Creation: Players can access the full character creation menu, allowing them to customize their Hunterand Palico (a feline companion). This data can be carried over to the full game.

  • Story Trial: The beta includes an early part of the game’s story.

  • Monster Hunts: Players will participate in two main hunts:

    1. Chatacabra Hunt: A basic tutorial mission that teaches the combat mechanics.

    2. Doshaguma Hunt: Players will battle the alpha of the Doshaguma pack and explore the location on a Seikret mount while switching between two different weapon types.

  • Multiplayer: The open beta supports cross-play across platforms, and players can request up to three NPC Support Hunters to join their party via an SOS flare. Players can also team up with others online.

Bonus Items

Beta participants will receive bonus items that can be claimed in the full version of Monster Hunter Wilds when it launches.

Open Beta Test Timings

  • For PS Plus Members: Early access begins October 28 at 8pm PT (October 29 at 8:30am IST) and ends October 30 at 7:59pm PT (October 31 at 8:29am IST).

  • For All Other Players: The open beta starts October 31 at 8pm PT (November 1 at 8:30am IST) and ends November 3 at 6:59pm PT (November 4 at 8:29am IST).

Game Launch

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to officially launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X on February 28, 2025. The game is available for pre-order on all supported platforms.
