PS Plus Monthly Games for February Announced; Sony to Shift Away From PS4 Titles on PS Plus in 2026

PlayStation Plus February 2025 free games revealed—But there's sad news for PS4 owners | Gaming News

Sony has announced the lineup for the PlayStation Plus monthly games for February, offering a mix of genres for PS Plus subscribers. The free games, which will be available starting February 4, include:

  • Payday 3 – A co-op shooter that lets you team up with friends to pull off heists.

  • High on Life – An action-adventure first-person shooter with a quirky sense of humor.

  • Pac-Man World Re-Pac – A fun platformer, bringing a new twist to the classic Pac-Man universe.

These titles will be available to PS Plus EssentialExtra, and Deluxe/Premium subscribers. As usual, they can be added to your library and enjoyed beyond March 3, as long as your subscription remains active.

Key Details:

  • Availability: February 4 – March 3

  • Available Tiers: PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Deluxe/Premium

  • Important Reminder: PS Plus members have until February 3 to add the January titles to their library, which include:

    • Suicide Squad

    • Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered

    • The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe

Sony’s Shift in 2026

In an interesting announcement, Sony also revealed that starting in 2026, it will no longer include PS4 titles as a key benefit for PS Plus subscribers. This means the service will focus primarily on PS5 games in the future, marking a clear shift towards the newer console generation. For current PS4 users, this may signal the importance of upgrading to a PS5 to continue receiving a robust monthly game selection.

This shift may impact how users interact with PS Plus in the coming years, especially as more games become exclusive to the PS5. What do you think of the lineup for February, and Sony’s shift to PS5 exclusivity in 2026?
