Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Shadows Release Delayed Again

Ubisoft has announced another delay for the highly anticipated game Assassin's Creed Shadows. Initially postponed in September 2024 to February 14, 2025, the launch has now been pushed back to March 20, 2025.

Reasons for the Delay:

The delay comes as Ubisoft seeks more time to incorporate player feedback gathered over the last few months. The additional development time is intended to ensure that the game meets player expectations and is fully polished for its release. Ubisoft stated that this extra month would allow the team to continue working closely with the Assassin's Creedcommunity, which has shown increasing positivity toward the franchise.

Ubisoft's Struggles:

The delay is part of a broader trend of challenges for Ubisoft. The company has been struggling with both delays and underperformance of several of its key titles in recent months. Additionally, Ubisoft's shares have taken a significant hit, losing half of their value in the year leading up to December 2024. The company is now expecting its third-quarter net bookings to reach approximately EUR 300 million.

What’s Next:

While fans will have to wait a bit longer to play Assassin's Creed Shadows, Ubisoft is focused on using this extra time to ensure the game meets high expectations. Hopefully, the delay will result in a more refined and engaging experience for players when the game finally launches in March 2025.
